Jumping in Jordan
My country is Jordan. They have a very interesting culture and I really enjoyed learning about it. Their government is a constitutional monarchy so they have a king and queen but they don’t have any real power. What’s the point of having one if they don’t do anything. The prime minister has the power and his name is Abdullah Ensour. In Jordan they don’t have an enforced smoking age so it’s not uncommon to see young kids smoking. I think they need to make so less people will smoke. Almost everyone in Jordan is Muslim. 98% of the country is Sunni Muslim. Because there are some many Muslims most of their laws are based around the religion. I don’t think they should do that because then gay marriage is illegal. In Jordan their main sport is soccer, but many of the kids play basketball, volleyball, and some play baseball like we do in America. https://www.pinterest.com/jgoldperiod2/jordan-wood-period-1-jordan/
Hi Jordan, I'm glad you chose a country that is a hot spot in the middle east. You also chose one of the few monarchies left in the world. It will be interesting to hear what you've learned throughout your unit of study! Well done on your blog!
ReplyDeleteNice Presentation! I liked your dance! I found it interesting that most of their laws are based off of a religion. In Switzerland very few people are muslim. Switzerland Doesn't have a King or a Queen they have a president. Switzerland and JOrdan Don't have a lot in common
ReplyDeleteGreat job presenting!! Jordan is similar to Colombia because we both have dances from are nation but other then that we are much different.
ReplyDeleteI really liked your Debke dance. My country has a dance but it is wacky! I also think it is very interesting that 98% of Jordan's population is Muslim. Overall I really liked your presentation and your blog.

ReplyDeleteNice presentation you did great. Jordan and Ukraine are very different. Like we do not have many Muslims in our country. I really enjoyed learning about the laws and sports. You did a great job!!
ReplyDeleteGreat presentation! Kenyans also plays soccer and basketball! Soccer is their most popular sport and basketball is mostly played by wealthy people. Your information was very interesting and fun to learn about!
ReplyDeleteGreat Blog!! In Brazil, we have a president instead of a prime minister. I thought it was cool that 98 percent of the population is Muslim. In my country, Roman Catholic is the most popular religion.
ReplyDeleteGreat job! Jordan and the Philippines have many differences. In the Philippines, there is a president instead of a king, queen, and prime minister. Also gay marriage and drinking alcohol is legal in the Philippines. Also, even though soccer is a major sport in Jordan, in the Philippines, soccer isn't that popular compared to other sports.
ReplyDeleteGood job! Soccer is popular in China too. There are more Muslims in Jordan than there are in China. The types of dances in Jordan that we don't have in China.China doesn't have a king or a queen, so that's pretty cool that Jordan does. You did a good job on your presentation!
ReplyDeleteNice job on your presentation! 98% of Turks are Muslim too. Turkey is also located in the Middle East. Turkey has a Parliamentary Republic which is a lot different from a Monarchy. Also in Turkey some people speak Arabic. Overall nice job on your presentation!
ReplyDeleteGreat Job! I really enjoyed your presentation. I liked the dance you showed the class! I liked that you picked the country with the same name as you. Just like Jordan, in France soccer is a very popular sport and many men play it! Overall you did a great job!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on your presentation. I learned a lot and I love how your names match! Madagascar and Jordan are alike because soccer is the most popular sport in both countries. They are different because Jordan is a constitutional monarchy and Madagascar is a republic. Overall awesome job on your pinterest!
ReplyDeleteNice presentation and blog! The prime minister in Jamaica has most of the power too, but the form of government in Jamaica is a parliamentary democracy. Also, instead of muslim, most of the people in Jamaica are protestant. Great job overall!
ReplyDeleteGreat Job!! your presentation was great and you were very descriptive. Jordan and Belize are very different because our religion and culture are so different.
