Masterful Mozambique

Masterful

Mozambique

Mozambique is located near the bottom of Africa, next to

Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and South Africa

Personally i think that Mozambique is an interesting country. I like their newly elected president Filipe Nyusi. Although the Renamo called the votes fraudulent, i like his political views. I also like their flag. Even though it is almost identical to the Frelimo flag that was used during the fight for their independence it looks a lot different and it represents different things. I get that the triangle represents Mozambique’s struggle for independence but is a gun and an axe too violent for a flag? Anyways, I think that their clothing is unique in many ways. The colorful hand-sewn cloth that the women wrap around themselves. The Marrabenta pulse also interests me, It shows a lot of Mozambique's culture.

  2. Nathan-I loved your opinion about the violence in the flag of Mozambique. I'm interested to see that you really are looking into the country to see the history and why it is the way it is today. I hope you show that side of Mozambique when you present! Well done.

  3. Nice job presenting. I agree that a gun and sword seem to violent for a flag but I think it's good that they have it to represent their struggle. In Jordan doesn't have a president they have a Prime Minister as their leader but it sounds like Mozambique has a good leader.

  4. That was a great presentation. I didn't even know Mozambique was a country. Mozambique recently became a country. The UK has been a country for a long time. Even though our countries are not alike, Mozambique is still a cool country.

  5. Nice presentation! The main parties of Mozambique and the Philippines are very different. Mozambique has the Frelimo and the Renamo while the Philippines has the Liberals and the Nacionalistas. The Philippines was founded a long time ago, but both of our countries gained independence recently.

  6. Israel isn't so alike from Mozambique. Our clothing isn't that traditional and our flag represents the Jewish religion. I do however like the meaning of the flag there and I really liked your blog and presentation. Nice job!

  7. There are pretty much no similarities between Mozambique and Turkey. Except the fact that Soccer is the most popular sport. Also I like the meaning of their flag except Turkeys flag is Islam's classic Star And Crescent. Overall I loved your presentation and awesome job!

  9. You did a great job presenting! I learned a lot about Mozambique! I thought it was really cool how you explain about what each part on the flag meant. France and Mozambique are very different, but France has two parties in the government too! I also really liked the video you showed it was really cool!

  12. Great job! I learned a lot about Mozambique. Mozambique and Ireland are very different. Some of these differences are that in Ireland dance is not as important, and food in Ireland, compared to the food in Mozambique, are very different. Nonetheless, Mozambique and Ireland are still alike in some ways. Soccer is also one of the most popular sports in Ireland, and Ireland also has a president. I enjoyed learning about what the Mozambique flag symbolizes. In the end, I think you had a great presentation!
