Not Scotland, not England, not Wales, not Northern Ireland. Just the UK

The United Kingdom (UK) is in the continent of Europe. It was very fun researching the UK.  I find the UK to be a very unique country because it is made up of four countries. Scotland, England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Even though they are four separate they share some of the craziest laws. Why would there be a law that you can’t drive a cow down a road between 10:00 A.M. through 7:00 A.M. without a cops permission. Most people in the UK speak English which is a good thing so I am able to talk to most of the people living in the UK. The next biggest group of people that speak a language in the UK speak Polish. I don’t speak Polish but I know hello in Polish is alo.One of the most famous bands, One of the greatest bands of all time, The Beatles came from the UK. Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr are all British. I hope I get to go to the UK someday.

  1. I did not know that people spoke Polish in the UK-that is something new for me! The Beatles are one of the greatest bands ever, so I'm glad you discussed them as well. I think the complexity of the UK is important and difficult to understand, so I'm looking forward to you presenting it to the class with a lot of explanation!

  6. Great job! Ireland and the UK are very similar. They are also very close to one another. Though Ireland does not have a king or queen, it is a republic government, which is similar to a democracy. Also, Ireland and the UK's foods and sports are similar. In Ireland, soccer is also the most popular sport and both countries involve chicken, beef, and other foods in their meals. I enjoyed learning about the UK.

  7. Great job on your presentation. You did a great job. Madagascar and the UK are not alike at all. The governments are completely different. Madagascar is a Republic and the UK is a constitutional monarchy. Also people in the UK speak English and people in Madagascar speak Malagasy. Awesome job on your pinterest! I learned a lot.

  11. Jamaica and the UK are sort of alike. They have similar governments because Queen Elizabeth is involved in both of them. Also, the most Jamaicans speak english too, but instead of the second most popular language being polish, the other Jamaicans speak patois. It is really interesting how the UK is made up of four countries. I thought the UK was a really fun country to learn about.
