Marvelous Morocco
The country that I researched was Morocco, It is a very fun and interesting country in Africa. Some of Morocco’s popular dishes are way different than some of the one’s that we like. They are couscous, harira, kefta and tajine. Fish is very popular because Morocco is off the Mediterranean sea. They must like fish a lot, but I don’t it is gross and nasty. There Education is way different than us. They are only required to go to school for six years. There are so lucky! They also learn Arabic and French like how we learn French and Spanish. In Morocco Throne Day is a national holiday. It celebrates the coronation of King Mohammed VI. I wonder what it’s because we don’t have a king here in the United States. He became king on July 30, 1999. Morocco is a constitutional monarchy. This a government with a constitution and a king. This is super different from the United States because we don’t have a king we have a president and a Vice President. The king is chief of state and the prime minister is head of state. Morocco is very different from United States.
I liked your blog post! It was a cool yet informative way of telling us about it. When you gave an opinion it gave it life! I found in interesting you only have to go to school for 6 years!
ReplyDeleteKids in Morocco are only required to go to school for 6 years?! We need to go to school more than double that time! Morocco has a king! Not many places have kings and queens any more. Morocco even has a holiday to celebrate the kings and queens of their country. I can't imagine having a king or queen. This shows how different Morocco is compared to the U.S. Nonetheless, Morocco seems like an amazing place and I learned a lot about it.
ReplyDeleteI love your blog it is so interesting. Also they only have to go to school for 6 years?!?!? I thought everyone would have gone just a little longer also we would have ended school already. I like how you opinionated your blog it shows your reaction of Morocco. I would have added more pictures and more of a conclusion. You had a great blog Morocco seems like a great place to visit.
ReplyDeleteI like your blog. I really never learned about Morocco until your presentation. They are so lucky that they only go have to go school for 6 years. I think that the couscous looks really good. I think you should of added a little more at the end but it's still really good. I learned so much about Morocco its seems like a great place.
ReplyDeleteI liked the blog. I learned a lot about Morocco. I wish I only had to go to school for 6 years. I didn't know Morocco had a king. Also the couscous looks like it tastes good. I thought I learned a lot of new things about Morocco and I hope I can go there someday.
ReplyDeleteYour blog is very interesting. I think it's kinda weird that you are only required to to go to school for 6 years. A also think it's very interesting that there is a throne day that celebrates the king's coronation. I learned a lot about Morocco and I hope to learn more.
ReplyDeleteGreat blog! It really followed your presentation! And like everyone else said, it's really not fair they only have 6 years of school. And one of them is probably kindergarten!!! I never knew anything about Morocco so thanks for your blog and presentation!
ReplyDeleteAmazing blog Jenna! Just like Morocco, fish is also a really popular dish in Jamaica. I don't like it either. Also, I found it really interesting that they only have to go to school for six years. In Jamaica most kids go to elementary school and then middle and high school, but high school dropout rates are high. It is really interesting that Morocco has a king. I too wonder what it would be like if only one person had power over the country. All in all, great presentation Jenna!

ReplyDeleteI really liked your pinterest. I learned many things about Morocco. In economy I learned that it is a Constitutional Monarchy, there are three branches of government, and there is a king and prime minister. I learned in daily life that coocoos is a very famous dish in Morocco and it is only eaten on Fridays. Finally in history learned about coronation day and that it is on every July 30th. I enjoyed your presentation it was really interesting.

ReplyDeleteWow!!! I learned so much from your presentation!!!
ReplyDeleteYour blog is very interesting. I think it is really cool that Morocco has a constitutional monarch, so it's kind of like ours, but it has a King. Moroccan couscous is way different than Filipino food, which has a lot of rice. I enjoyed learning about Morocco.
ReplyDeleteGreat Job! I didn't know Morocco had a King. I really liked how you presented your pinterest and your blog is great! I learned a lot about Morocco!
ReplyDeleteJenna-excellent job. Loved hearing about Morocco! Loved hearing about the education system and the understanding you have of the importance of fish (which i hate eating as well) eew. Keep up the great work!
ReplyDeleteMy country speaks arabic instead of learn it so I thought that was cool. Instead of Throne day Iraq haves Eid al-Fitr. Instead of a king we have a president and a prime minister.
