This Blog IS RAEL

For my project, my country is Israel which is located in the middle east. I have learned a lot more about my Jewish culture by doing this project and I found a lot of the research interesting. Israel also has six years of elementary school and goes to high school. However, it's very unlucky because after that they are forced into the military for 2-3 years! Isn't that insane?! It's not fair because they could die there or have mental trauma if there's some kind of war. It could make you stronger by training though if there's need to protect people. After the military the kids normally go off to college but that's their choice.
I also have learned that Israel is a lot more fortunate than a lot of other countries and has a prime minister and a president to run Israel. We don't have a prime minister but it's good to have a constitution and a president. Their president is Reuven Rivlin and the prime minister is Benjamin Netanyahu.
Israel has a lot of holidays like Hanukkah, Rosh Hashanah, Passover, Yom Kippur, Ramadan, and many more. I'm a Jew so I celebrate a lot of holidays but they probably get bigger feasts, more presents, it's sometimes I wish I lived in Israel.

  2. I thought it was a very cool blog. I don't want to go to the military after high school. I'm happy that's not what they do in the US and they don't do that in the UK. There are a lot more Jewish people in Israel than in the UK. I want to go to Israel someday.

  5. Israel seems like a great country! It is good that children have to attend school from when they are 6 until they are in high school. I wonder how long they attend college if they choose to go? Also, I think that Israel makes its citizens attend the army because it is surrounded by enemies, so they need to have a strong army to defend itself. I find it great that the Israeli government has a prime minister help run Israel. It surprised me that Israel, which is a Jewish country, is only 75% Jewish. In the end I learned a lot about Israel and I would to visit it again.

  8. Nice presentation! Just like in Israel, the Philippines also has a president and prime minister. Also, in Israel how people learn a second language, Filipinos also learn a second language, which is normally english. I liked the Israeli foods you talked about, and I enjoy eating them myself. Great presentation!

  11. Great Job! I think it is very interesting that in Israel, they are sent into the military for 2-3 years. It is not like that in Jamaica. Jamaica has a prime minister too, but the prime minister is the head of the government in Jamaica, not the head of state. I am also Jewish so I celebrate most of the holidays just like you do. Amazing blog and presentation. I hope to learn more about Israel!

  13. Nice job! I think it's very cool how they have to enlist in the military for 2-3 years! In Kenya they also celebrate Ramadan and it's one of their very important holidays. I have been to Israel and knew a lot about the stuff that you talked about, but also learned so much mostly about the government!

  15. I really liked your presentation! In China you don't have to go into the military when you're done with high school. I think most people in China would find that crazy! Judaism is a big religion in Israel. That is not a very popular religion in China. I learned a lot through your presentation!

  21. I really liked your presentation and blog. In my country Brazil it was a little different because people don't have to go to military school right after high school, but they are similar because Brazil doesn't have a prime minister either. I really liked your info!

  25. Good job on your blog and your presentation. Ukraine and Israel is very different in many ways. If you went to my country you would see very little amount of people who are Jewish. People in Ukraine are more Christian. I can't belive that when you exit high school you have to be in the military for 2-3 years. I really like your blog and you did a great job on presenting.
